Car Finance

If you took out car finance (PCP or hire purchase) before 28 January 2021, the lender may have paid the dealer a hidden commission that increased the interest you paid. The FCA has reviewed this practice and many customers may be due compensation.

Irresponsible Lending

Lenders must check that borrowing is affordable before lending. If a lender did not carry out proper checks and the loan or credit card caused you financial difficulty, you may be able to claim back interest and charges.

Overdraft Charges

Banks must spot customers in persistent overdraft debt and step in to help. If your bank kept charging you fees and interest while you were in long term financial difficulty, you may be entitled to a refund.
